Delta has created an intelligent nurse assignment module to assist a charge nurse, or other management staff, in the nurse-patient assignment process. Features of the Assignment Module include:

• Drag-n-drop from nurse roster to patient room in a unit map (CAD) environment
• Warning flags for inappropriate assignment based on skill level workload (RN1, RN2, etc.)
• Location warnings – flags assignments that are geographically dispersed
• Experience notification if assignment contains patient care requirement for which staff member is not certified
• Real-time feedback of staffing plan compliance to the acuity-based target, unit budget and regulatory guidelines
• Historical tracking/reporting of nurse assignment including patient turnover rates
